The Story So Far...
Being in a tightly knit startup, I was tasked with hiring my own team. As I tried and failed through the mainstream recruiting tools, I quickly realized they never showed me the metrics that mattered. That's when my CTO pointed me towards GitHub and taught me his ritual -Filtering through the right skills, looking at contribution activity to find the right balance between independence, teamwork, and leadership. Assessing code quality and documentation, evaluating their communication skills through public discussions, and examining their work to understand their expertise. The results were shocking, and I knew I had to automate it! That was the conception of HireGit v1 - a poorly built product rolled out in public with no support behind it.2 years later, the metrics weren't making sense to me; I assumed the user count was skewed because of bots.As I went through my user list, I couldn't fathom the number of verified accounts in there, let alone the industry giants that kept coming up.v1 was an embarrassment, yet it was used... it mattered. So, I quit my job, hired a team, and spent the last quarter building out a fully revamped version of HireGit.Presenting HireGit v2.0!
